Wea`tah Ranks

The following is the basic concept of the units ranks. Please note that these ranks and requirements can change as needed. Do understand because the unit first starting out, exceptions may need to be made to some of the requirements.

00 Associate:
An Associate is anyone who wishes to be a part of the Wea`tah. The only requirement is you show up, have a good time and try. At this time you are not a member of the unit but have expressed an interest to be so. This your time to show us your dedication to the unit.

01 Ally:
As an ally you are now a full member of the unit. Upon being an ally you shall receive loaner garb and a loaner weapon to use at practice. You will now have access to the Unit Programs.

Requirements:
1. Be an Associate with the unit for no less then 8 practices or events.
2. Show a desire and commitment to the unit

02 Hireling:
As a hireling you are looked upon as a good friend and family.

2. Personally own a set of garb that meats the minimum Dagorhir national standards
3. Personally own at least 1 Dagorhir legal weapon
4. Be 16 years of age or older

03 Trooper:
As a trooper you are the backbone of the unit. When people think of the Wea`tah, they are thinking of you. You are expected to be a role model of what a member of Dagorhir should be. You are also the one the newer unit members go to, to find the answers to their questions. You have shown that you know how to make garb and weapons. You are also showing some skill with a weapon of choice.

Requirements:
1. Be with the unit for no less then 6 months.
2. Display knowledge and skill of at least one weapon.
3. Have made an above average piece of garb, weapon, or armour.
4. Know the rules of Dagorhir
5. Donate 5 or more items (that are documented on or list of needed items and materials) to the unit supplies.

04 Man-at-Arms:
You are now a highly skilled fighter on the battlefield. You are also knowledgeable in skills off the field. You know how to make your own garb, your own weapon. You are what the troopers wish to be. You are the walking embodiment of Wea`tah.

Requirements:
1. Have been in the unit for no less then 9 months
2. Have displayed knowledge and skill in at least 3 different weapons
3. Have made at least 3 masterpieces of garb, weapons, armour, or any combination thereof
4. Donate 10 or more items (that are documented on or list of needed items and materials) to the unit supplies.
5. Pass “The Test”

05 Leader/General:
There are only two leaders of Wea`tah. These leaders go by the title of General. These are NOT elected positions.

Titles within the Wea`tah Ranks:

Following is a preliminary breakdown of some of the roles and responsibilities of our entitled members:

Marshal
Their job is to make sure that all weapons and armour of the unit is up to the safety standards of Dagorhir. The Marshal will also spot check unit members personal weapons and armour. It is their duty to keep up with Dagorhir rules and any changes made to them, as well as inform unit members of any regulatory changes.

Chatelaine
Is responsible for making sure newcomers feel welcome. They should know who has which position in both the unit as well as the realm. They should be knowledgeable with the rules, and the people of the realm. But more than that, they must have a friendly, open personality and a willingness to help.

Chirurgeon
Accidents do happen, and in Dagorhir more so. The Chirurgeon is our unit first aid officer. They are there to ensure that if an accident does happen, they have the required materials and skills to administer first aid. The Chirurgeon is responsible for keeping medical information files on our members (he or she would need to know if one in our unit is allergic to bee stings) and must know how to tell if an injury is an advanced medical nature and must know when to call for paramedics.

Children’s Officer
As a family unit we have several families within our ranks. This means children. When there are children present someone needs to look after them. This goes for everyone in the unit. More than that, the Children’s Officer is responsible for the safekeeping of children’s records for the “need to know” information such as allergies, fears, contact numbers, etc.

Treasurer
Wea’tah is in the business of business. We sell our fighting skills to the highest bidder. But we also sell garb, weapons, armour and other items as well. This income goes into the unit treasury to help offset the costs of events, materials, etc. The Treasurer is the one to keep tabs on how much money the unit has available to use.

Media Relations Officer
As a unit we try to be active in the community as well as Dagorhir. When doing demos someone needs to be able to explain what is going on and to help others understand our sport. They are the one who tries to set up demos or a press interview.

Captain
As the unit grows, it spreads to other realms. It is impossible for the leaders to show up at the events and practices in that realm as well as their home realm. The highest ranking Wea`tah member shall have the title of Captain in that realm. The Captain is in charge of unit affairs in that realm. He or she is in contact with the leaders. At large events where the Leaders are present, the Captains shall act as a go between.

WebMaster/Mistress
This is the member that is responsible for keeping of the domain information for the website, and for keeping the information on the website as current as possible.
