Community
Service
Wea`tah believes that through good community service we can improve our
lives and understanding of the world around us. Community service can be
for both Dagorhir and real life causes. We try to take time to work with
new people to Dagorhir and help them learn the ropes. This is not for
recruiting, but rather to show that they are welcome and wanted. We also
try to donate time, money or whatever else we can to real life causes
like fund-raisers, and other events.
Promotion of Good Sportsmanship and Proper
Conduct
It is our belief that Dagorhir should be a fun experience. It is a hobby
and if you aren’t having fun, then there is something wrong. There was
an old saying that if you aren’t having a good time, leave. This does
not solve the problem. We believe that EVERYONE has a right to join
Dagorhir without the fear of slander or ridicule. Even if there is just
cause to make such remarks they are not needed or wanted.
Should a unit member be caught slandering anyone else, they are going to
be asked to stop. Should the problem continue after several warnings, it
can lead to banishment from the unit. Should someone outside the unit
act in a slanderous manner they’ll be asked to stop. Should it continue,
proper actions shall be made up to filing a complaint with the Dagorhir
National Board.
Wea`tah Gatherings
To help promote a family like environment for the unit as a whole, the
Wea`tah tries to do monthly activities outside of Dagorhir and unit
meetings or classes. This may be bowling, group dinner, Karaoke or even
Bar-B-Qs.
We also understand that some of the unit members are in college or far
from home, and do not have any family nearby. The holidays can be a very
lonely time. There are members of Wea`tah that are more then happy to
have a few extra faces at the dinner table for the holidays. If you are
going to be alone for any holiday, please let us know, so we can plan
accordingly.
Wea`tah
Equipment
Wea`tah does strive to have good group equipment for the unit. This
includes tents, spare armour, spare weapons, spare garb, siege weapons,
etc. These items belong to the unit. It is the responsibility of
everyone in the unit to see that they are well maintained and cared for.
Open Door
Policy
Everyone,
at one time or another, has problems. Sometimes these can be Dagorhir
related, and other times these problems can relate to life, work,
relationships, etc. We understand that sometimes a friend to talk to, or
even a shoulder to cry on can help. If ever you are in need of someone to
talk to, please feel free to contact a one of the unit officers. Contact
information is available on the website. If you do not have access to the
internet, a phones list will be made available to you.
